This option offers the capability to install the panels of an electronic beam forming radar. The number of panels, and their orientation may vary depending on vendors.
The depicted support can carry an Airbus Defense&Space SPEXER panels covering 120°. (link to Airbus web site)
The wind load on the radar panels does not affect the camera possibly located on the center of the roof.
