During loss of primary power, electronic equipment, and in particular the SCADA system should be kept running via appropriate on-line UPS.
This enables to maintain logging, remote surveillance and supervision of the site until the intervention of the maintenance personnel. Backup power generation can also be triggered through this facility.
The proposed battery pack is sized for 24 hours (more optional) of operation of the SCADA, before on site intervention. The UPS may not be required if the integrator installs its own device for the rest of the electronics.
